Who we are
Altruva Care is a trading name of Shezalia Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15568516) with its registered office at 2 Sitwell Close, Smalley, Ilkeston, Derbyshire, DE7 6AP.
Shezalia Ltd is the controller of the personal information described in this notice. You can contact us about anything in it by emailing info@altruvacare.co.uk or calling 07365 616916.
What this notice covers
This notice explains how we handle personal information when you visit this website or contact us about our services. Information we handle on behalf of care providers during consultancy work, such as care records or staff files, is covered by our agreement with that provider and by the provider's own privacy notice.
Information we collect
This website has no forms, accounts or sign-ups. We only receive personal information when you choose to contact us. That usually means your name, job title, organisation, email address, phone number and whatever you tell us in your message or during a call.
Please do not include details about residents, patients or staff when you first get in touch. We will agree a secure way to share that kind of information if it becomes necessary.
How we use it and why
We use your information to reply to your enquiry, discuss and arrange work, and keep a record of our correspondence. If you become a client, we also use it to deliver the agreed services and to invoice.
Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running the business, and, where you are entering into or have entered into a contract with us, the need to take steps towards or perform that contract. Where the law requires us to keep records, such as for tax purposes, we rely on legal obligation.
We do not sell your information, use it for marketing lists, or make automated decisions about you.
Who we share it with
We share information only where needed to run the business, with:
- Microsoft, which provides our email service;
- Netlify, which hosts this website;
- our accountant, for invoicing and financial records.
We will also share information where the law requires it, for example to meet a legal or safeguarding duty.
The website itself
This website does not set cookies or use analytics. Like any website, our host records basic technical details such as IP addresses to keep the site running and secure. The site's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google when the page opens. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK, and where they do they use safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
If an enquiry does not lead to work, we delete the correspondence once it is no longer needed. If you become a client, we keep records for as long as our agreement requires and for any longer period set by law, such as the six years required for financial records.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it or stop using it. In some cases you can also ask us to transfer it to you or another organisation. To make a request, contact us using the details above. We will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
We will update this notice if the way we handle information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
